Can Hospitals be Dangerous?
Too err is human, so the saying goes and it certainly hold true in hospitals. While the staff on doctors no doubt have received extensive training, fatigue, carelessness and personal problems can lead to mistakes that could directly affect you or your loved ones. After all, how often do you make a mistake at your work? While it’s true for most of us that making a mistake won’t affect the life of another person, whey you are dealing with surgeries, injectibles and other hazards materials, a slip up could mean a seriously potential problem.
Hospitals need to take more responsibility by implementing strict protocols and reporting systems that help alleviate mistakes that could of otherwise been prevented. The drawback to this is of course the ever increasing cost of healthcare and the effect it will have on it. Never mind that though, no price can be put on a human life. Even with these new procedures in place, accidents can still happen. Check your insurance policy and get additional coverage if necessary to cover yourself from these types of situations. If the need ever arises, you won’t be sorry you did.
